Training Built on Judgment, Not Just Marksmanship
Summit Firearms Academy teaches people how to make sound decisions - not just how to shoot accurately. Every class starts with the same question: how do you avoid ever needing to pull the trigger? From there, we build the safe handling, fundamentals, and confidence that back it up.
Whether you've never touched a firearm or you've already completed a concealed carry class, there's a clear next step here.
New to firearms? Start with a 2-hour intro class - no experience or equipment required.

Finished a CCW class but haven't trained since? The Building Confidence Workshop uses structured TITAN X dry-fire training to turn permission into actual proficiency. Capped at 6 students.

Why Summit
Most firearms training leads with tactics. We lead with a different question: how do you avoid the situation altogether? That's not a marketing angle - it's how every class is built. Legal and moral decision-making comes before trigger time, because the goal isn't just to hit a target. It's to know, clearly, when force is justified and when it isn't.
A few things that set this apart:

The TITAN X dry-fire system.
Structured skill-building without live ammunition - a safer, more repeatable way to build muscle memory before live fire, especially useful if you're still building comfort around a firearm.
A membership model, not just one-off classes.
Most firearms training ends when the class does. Ours continues, through ongoing video and legal-education content, growing month over month.
One instructor, every class.
You're not getting a rotating roster of staff - you're learning from the same person, class after class.

Meet Your Instructor, Chandler Newsome
Before Summit, there were eight years in the U.S. Navy, including nearly a year of BUD/S training. Before that, a childhood introduction to firearms through a family friend.
In the years since, Chandler's path has included over a decade teaching concealed carry courses in Arizona and Utah, an MBA from Pepperdine University, and an in-progress Master's in Organizational Leadership at Brown University - graduate-level study in how adults actually learn, applied directly to how classes here are taught.
Close to 10,000 students have trained with Chandler over the past decade-plus.

I've never handled a firearm before. Is this class for me?
Yes. Intro to Handgun Safety is built specifically for first-time owners, and there's no maximum class size, so there's no pressure to keep pace with anyone else.
I already completed a CCW class. Why would I need more training?
A concealed carry class teaches you the legal requirements to carry. It doesn't build proficiency on its own. The Building Confidence Workshop is designed as the next step - structured, instructor-led dry-fire practice using the TITAN X system.
Is a membership actually worth it?
If you want to keep learning after your first class - legal updates, ongoing video content - membership is built for that. If you just want a single class, that's a fine place to start too.
Can I learn this online?
Some of it. Legal education and conceptual content are part of the membership. Safe handling skills require in-person, hands-on instruction.
Do I need to already own a firearm to get started?
No. Some students take Intro to Handgun Safety before ever purchasing one, specifically to make a more informed decision.
Where is training held?
A permanent training location is still being finalized. Details are confirmed directly at booking, and every class is taught by Chandler himself, regardless of venue.
You don't need experience to start. You need a place to begin.
Start with the fundamentals. No experience, no equipment, no pressure - just a clear starting point.
